The event is FREE to attend but you do need to register in advance. There will be a range of workshops about employability, mental health and more. Register for all of the workshops for just £10.

Formed in 2009, the Ilford BID is the Business Improvement District (BID) for Ilford. The Ilford BID’s key aims are to promote businesses within the BID boundary, increase footfall and to make Ilford the destination of choice. InIlford is provided by the Ilford Business Improvement District (BID), which works on behalf of almost 400 businesses in Ilford town centre to create an attractive, welcoming, vibrant and economically successful trading area. Our priority areas and activities include: Security, Place Making and Communications COMMUNICATIONS The BID promotes Ilford and its businesses using several channels to celebrate the culture and diversity of Ilford to ensure that Ilford is advertised as the destination of choice for families, communities, consumers, businesses, investors and all major stakeholders. To date the BID has provided floral displays to brighten the streets in the summer months, with over 80 hanging baskets provided each year and decorative street lighting scheme over the festive season, including Christmas Trees and motifs. THE TEAM Sarah deCourcy Rolls Sarah is General Manager of The Exchange Ilford and has over 20 years’ experience in management, with 13 years specialising in shopping centres. Sarah has been a director on 2 BID boards and currently holds the position of Chair for Ilford, providing leadership and vision, whilst ensuring delivery of the objectives. Sarah offers a diverse knowledge of Strategic Management, Marketing and operational application. Carol Hobbs years’ experience of Management in the Recruitment Industry. She and her team of consultants successfully place local people into local jobs on a daily basis. Carol has been on the board of directors for Ilford BID since its inception in 2009. Prior to that, she was on the Board of Directors for Ilford Town Centre Partnership going back several years. Carol is passionate about supporting the youth of today in discovering their suitable career path. Aktar Hussain Aktar has been working with Boots since 1997 and currently the store manager in the Ilford Branch he has been working within the local community in Ilford for the last 5 years. Aktar works extensively across a wide area of retail and pharmacy within his remit and has been on the board of directors for over 1 year now. Andy Long Andy has worked for large retail organisations within London for over 20 years . He brings a wealth of experience in delivering customer service, sales led initiatives and operations within a retail environment. Andy is a cost conscious individual with an eye for detail and brings a measured and balanced approach to reviewing financial performance. He is an employee relations specialist and has successfully supported the development of talent across a number of businesses. Isaac Minto Isaac has been with the Ilford BID since October 2017, with his first 18 months as BID Chair then moving into the Deputy Chair role, after a successful re-election of the Ilford BID for a further 5 year term. Isaac’s experience lies within the banking sector, where over the last 12 years he has worked with Commercial and Business customers across the full spectrum of bank related products and services, with a clear and genuine focus on delivering excellent levels of service for his customers. Isaac is currently Area Director at Metro Bank, having responsibility for parts of East London & Essex, and resides on a day to day basis in Ilford. Cyril Bekoe Cyril Bekoe is the BID Manager for Ilford. Cyril’s daily goal is to support the rapid evolution of Ilford and to work with the BID’s directors, major stakeholders such as the London Borough of Redbridge, businesses and the general public, to share and demonstrate that Ilford is competitive destination of choice.
